MY FIRST BLOG GIVEAWAY!!!

If you are reading this, then you are awesome!!! :)
I am going to begin giveaways on my blog. The giveaways may consist of FREE PRODUCTS, FREE COUPONS, or whatever I come up with! I've seen many other blogs give away products, and I've even won some of those free items, and it's always so much fun to get something for nothing!
My first blog giveaway will be for a coupon that I got in the mail yesterday. It is for 1 FREE full-size Similac Advanced baby formula container, valued up to $26.99. This will be awesome for some lucky baby...and mom! :)
To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is:

  1. Add yourself as a follower of this blog so you can continue to keep tabs on my giveaways and money-saving advice and ideas!
  2. Refer people to my blog and have them leave a comment with who referred them. THEY MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME!!!
  3. THE WINNER OF THIS COUPON WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE MOST PEOPLE REFERRED TO THIS BLOG, and that is why they will need to mention your name as their referral person.
This giveaway will expire on May 1st, 2011, so you have a few weeks to get all these referrals in! On May 1st, I will figure out the numbers for each person and then I will notify the winner and post who the winner is.

Good luck to everyone!!!

FREE FOOD!!!!

Free Food!!! Yes, it's possible...very possible!!! How do you get it? Well, it's as simple as keeping your RECEIPT from each purchase. Huh??? Let me explain....

ARBY'S- If you love Arby's as much as my family does, you've been given back quite a few receipts. Have you ever cared to look on the backside of your receipt? If you have, then you know there is a SURVEY they want you to call in and do in exchange for a FREE sandwich. The survey only takes maybe 1-2 mins to do. This provides feedback for their service, and it provides you with a free lunch...can't get any better than that!

BURGER KING- We don't eat at BK much, but unlike Arby's where all you have to do is take the survey, BK requires you to call in to do their survey but also buy a drink and fries to receive the free sandwich.

SONIC- We love Sonic! We don't eat there much though. Not every Sonic has this promotion either. When we lived in Wisconsin, nearly all Sonic's had this promotion going on, but when we moved to Alabama, we never saw it again. On the back of SOME Sonic receipts, they will have a survey you can call in and do, again only 1-2 mins. of your time, and you'll receive a FREE 44 oz. drink.

IHOP and many other restaurants also have free food programs for kids, where you have to purchase an adult meal and sometimes eat during a certain time-frame to receive a free child's meal off the child's menu.

When it comes to the fast food restaurants, you can sometimes get a completely FREE MEAL by simply doing these surveys for different restaurants and taking one in for a sandwich and another one in for a drink. When we lived in Wisconsin, we had a Sonic and an Arby's right next to each other, so I'd get my FREE sandwich from Arby's and nothing else, then I'd go over to Sonic and get my FREE drink!

Nothing beats FREE! :)

Coupon Clipping Services

Coupons are wonderful! I LOVE them! When we lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I subscribed to the Journal-Sentinel paper just to get the Sunday paper, which was always chocked full of coupons. However, we now live in Alabama, and our local paper is the Anniston Star, which does not provide any coupons in their newspapers, so we no longer have that luxury. So, what do you do when you want coupons, and you don't have access to them? Well, there are many options, and honestly, I use them all!

*Subscribe to magazines like "All You" or any family or cooking magazine...these usually have a good bit of coupons in them

*Print coupons from online coupon sources such as Smart Source, Red Plum, etc. Always do your research to make sure the site is legit. If you print a coupon that is not legit and try to use it at a store, you will look really silly and you could even get in trouble. You can also go directly to the store's website. Places like Target, Winn-Dixie, etc. ALWAYS have coupons on their sites to be used at THEIR stores. When you use a store coupon, you can also add a manufacturers coupon with it to double your savings. A manufacturers coupon is one provided by the maker of the product.

*Subscribe to mom blogs. Some of them provide emails letting you know about the newest coupons and links to them.

*Join a coupon trading site or group. These are fun! You post to their forums what coupons you have and what you need, and then you just trade them! It costs no more than the cost of postage to mail an envelope.

Last but not least....

*Pay to use a COUPON CLIPPING SERVICE! Now you are looking at this like I'm crazy! Wait, PAY to SAVE money? Yes! It's not expensive, and you always get the coupons that you WANT, so you don't end up buying things you don't need. You get the same regular coupons that you find in the newspaper or magazines. They are clipped by people on the other end, so the few cents per coupon you pay actually pays them for their time. You also pay a small fee for postage, and most sites only charge the cost of a stamp. I have used The Coupon Clippers in the past, and I loved it. I am actually looking into getting some more coupons pretty soon. I ended up getting some really awesome coupons that saved me BIG AMOUNTS of money, and I only paid $3 or $4 total. I got that back in just 3 or 4 coupons! There are many coupon clipping services out there, so make sure you do some research. You don't want to get dooped by a company that doesn't exist. The great thing about these coupon clipping services is that you can order as many as you want of each coupon, although some do have limits, it's only a small percentage. (Ex. When I last ordered some coupons, the service had an amazing $5 off any Boost product pack. At the time, our baby boy was using the Boost Kids drinks. Our local Target always had them marked down to $5.74, so I ordered 5 of those coupons, and I ended up getting a total of $30 worth of Boost drinks for less than $5!).
