Movie Screening Review- "Moms' Night Out"

As a member of MomSelect, I was invited to a private movie screening of an upcoming movie called "Moms' Night Out." This was my first movie screening, and this is my first review on a movie screening. I was not provided any monetary compensation. I received 2 free tickets to the screening, and once we arrived, the marketing team for the movie had swag bags with marketing gifts in it for the bloggers and guests to enjoy. I'm so excited! All opinions within this review are my own.

I attended the screening last month, with my 12 yrs old daughter, and we had a blast! This movie is keep-you-on-your-toes funny! Not one single person could stop laughing throughout the whole movie. I have never watched a movie that kept me laughing the whole time. (I laughed so much that I ended up triggering my asthma and had to use my inhaler during the movie. LOL)

"Moms' Night Out" features many well-known names in acting and the music industry, such as, Sarah Drew (from "Grey's Anatomy"), Sean Astin (from "Lord of the Rings" and "Goonies"), Patricia Heaton (from "Everybody Loves Raymond"), David Hunt (from "The Dead Pool"), Andrea Logan White (from "Marriage Retreat"), Robert Amaya (from "October Baby" and "Courageous"), Abbie Cobb (from "90210" and "Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas!"), Harry Shum, Jr. (from "Glee"), Kevin Downes (from "Courageous"), Alex Kendrick (from "Courageous" and "Fire Proof"), and Trace Adkins, country music sensation. This movie is directed by The Erwin Brothers (who also directed "October Baby"). "Moms' Night Out" was filmed entirely on location in Birmingham, Alabama. This movie was given a rating of PG due to some action. I can PROMISE you that there is not one single curse word, profanity, or sexual content in this movie. It is the perfect movie for the whole family!

"Moms' Night Out" encompasses what every mom's life is like: full of chaos, errands, messes, and headaches. The one thing every mom would just love to have is a night out with her friends! Well, in order for most moms to do that, someone must tend to the kiddos. In "Moms' Night Out," the fathers are left to care for their children, and every single fear that a mom could have about leaving her kids in the care of anyone, eventually comes true during this movie! Watch as these fathers try to figure out how in the world their wives, the mothers of their children, tend to all the chaos on a daily basis. Since the movie is due to come out on Mother's Day, May 9, 2014, I am not going to give too much story line away, but I guarantee if you take your mom, wife, or just yourself to watch this movie on opening day/night, you will have a blast! (I loved it so much that I'm going to drag my husband out to watch it!)

I can honestly say that this movie is the best movie I've seen in a long time! I rarely get out to watch movies at theaters because I tend to fall asleep during the first 5-15 minutes of the movie. This movie had me laughing so much that I did not fall asleep even once!

You can find out more about "Moms' Night Out" by checking out the IMDb page about the movie. You can also check out the trailer for the movie. You can also find out more about the movie and the learn about the behind the scenes stuff when you check out the website!

REMEMBER, "MOMS' NIGHT OUT" HITS THE MOVIE THEATERS ON MAY 9, 2014!!!!

#DisneySide @ Home Celebrations Party

A while back, I was chosen to host a #DisneySide @ Home Celebrations Party thanks to MomSelect & Disney. It was a blast! I collaborated with my son's preschool and hosted it as part of a Valentine's Day event at his school. I used most of the items that were sent to me for the party. Some items I was unable to use (mostly decorations) due to the school being set up for their own event that was planned ahead of time, however, I donated those decorations to the preschool to be used in the classrooms and future events. The preschool was so excited to receive them.

During the event, I explained to the families about being a product reviewer and blogger and spoke to them about the wonderful sponsors of this event and how I was chosen for this party. All of the families and staff were so interested in finding out more and even requested that I do a class specifically on product reviewing and blogging so that the parents could try their hand in blogging!

I purchased Valentine's Day snacks and drinks to incorporate into the party since the preschool has a policy against bringing in home-made treats. I really wanted to make Mickey Mouse-themed snacks, but due to this policy, I was unable to. We set up a photo shoot spot where I took Valentine's Day photos of the parents with their children. I am going to be making prints of all of the photos and giving them to the families.

While I spoke with the parents, the children were doing fun activities in the classrooms. My daughter, who is homeschooled, volunteered to help out with the party. She did hand paintings (instead of face paintings) for the children. The photo below is of my daughter painting my son's hand. (This is why his face is not blurred like the children's faces below.)

The party was a great success, and everyone enjoyed receiving the sponsored goodies that I handed out.

*Due to preschool policy, I am unable to post photos of the children's faces online (per preschool request), so they are blurred out. Due to this same policy, I was not allowed to video record the event.*

(This one is my husband and our son...so it's ok to show!)

As a member of MomSelect, I was sent free products for personal use and to give to my party-goers, in exchange for my blogging efforts and reviewing efforts. All opinions herein are my own.

Product Review- Natural Goddesses Warming Tarts

Recently, I agreed to do a product review for a natural product company called Natural Goddesses. I received samples of several of their products to try out and review. The opinions in this review are my own. I received no monetary compensation.

Natural Goddesses sent 2 scents of warming tarts to be reviewed: Blueberry Pumpkin Patch Tarts and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries Tarts. I had never experienced using tarts or a tart warmer prior to this review, so I had to set out to purchase a new tart warmer! That was fun! :)

First to review is the Blueberry Pumpkin Patch Tarts. When I smelled this pack of tarts, I was in love. It smells like a pumpkin pie with a hint of blueberries. I thought it would smell the same way when it as melting in the tart warmer. However, it did not. The scent was very faint, and I could not really smell it in my kitchen where I had it warming. I had to get close to the warmer to be able to smell it. I like stronger scents, so for that reason, this was not my favorite. The second scent is Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. This one smells very chocolaty in the package and because of that, I thought that I would not enjoy the scent; however, I was wrong! I loved this one! When it was melting, it had a decadent scent to it. It was not too overpowering, but I could smell this one a lot more than the Blueberry Pumpkin Patch one. All in all, both of these tarts were great! Plus, with these tarts, which are made of soy wax, you can reuse the melted wax. Simply pour the melted wax into a small container. Let it stay in the container until you want to reuse it. I used an empty pill bottle, which worked perfectly, and then when I was ready to reuse it, all I had to do was simply push the bottle on the sides to loosen the wax, then it fell right out (in the shape of the bottle). You could use any small container though.

I timed the tarts to see how long it took them to melt. It took on average about 20 minutes for these tarts to melt.

Purex Insiders Product Review- Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap

As a member of Purex Insiders, the Dial Company sent 2 full sized samples of the new Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap to review. The opinions given are my own. I was also given coupons to give to my blog readers.

I was sent 2 different scents to try out, Water Blossoms and Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar. The Water Blossoms has a very clean scent to it. The Yellow Raspberry & Black Sugar has a citrusy scent to it and has an exfoliating feeling to it. Both soaps made my and my family's hands very soft feeling after each wash. These soaps not only clean very well but moisturize also.

I have always been a fan of the scented hand soaps with the moisturizers and exfoliants, that can be purchased at one of the high end retailers that focuses on handwashes and body washes, and I would definitely say that Dial has exceeded my expectations with these 2 products. These products, in my opinion, are just as good if not better than those from the high end handwash products company.

I will be hosting a Facebook giveaway for this product. You can check it out here.

Product Review- Natural Goddesses "Monkey Farts" Small Heart Lollipops

As a product reviewer and blogger, I recently offered to do product reviews for businesses outside of the ones I normally do. One such business was Natural Goddesses. Natural Goddesses is a business that offers handmade soaps, body products, candy, and warming tarts. Natural Goddesses provided free samples for me to try out and review for them. The opinions within this review are my own. I did not receive any monetary compensation for my review.

One product that was sent to me was Monkey Fart flavored Small Heart Lollipops. Ok, my first reaction when I saw the name of this handmade candy was, "Are you for real?" I smelled the candy through the wrapper, and it smelled good, but I could not imagine what a monkey fart would taste like. Since I am not big on candy, especially harder candies, I allowed my children, ages 12 and 4, to be my guinea pigs. They were more than willing to try out a "Monkey Fart," in the name of fun! LOL So, you ask, "What exactly does a monkey fart taste like?" Well, of course, these are not real monkey farts, so I have no clue what a real one would taste like, but this the name of the flavor. The flavor consists of a fruit blend with strawberry, peach, orange, pineapple and coconut. I did steal a taste of the suckers while my kids were trying them out, and I have to say they were quite yummy!

While letting my kids review these "Monkey Farts" suckers, I decided to do their review in video format. Their review is below. WARNING: These kids are quite silly!

FREE Summer Camps for Military Kids!

As a kid, one of the best things about summer time is going to camp! That...and being out of school! When you are a military kid, though, sometimes summer time isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I know because I am the mommy of 2 military kids. My husband has served in the U. S. Army since 2005, and our daughter, 12, has survived 2 deployments, and our son, 4, has survived 1 deployment. Being a military kid is rough! Thankfully, summer camp and being around other military kids who are just like you, can help alleviate some of the sadness and pain.

Our daughter has been able to attend summer camps for military kids for free for the past 3 yrs! She has enjoyed each and every one of them. I wanted to pass on the good fortune of knowing about these summer camps to others in case you know a military kid who might enjoy summer camp!
